Sasha Banks sets Bayley up for the diving double kneed drop. Bayley tries to counter it, but Sasha catches Bayley’s head with her feet and drives her face-first into the turnbuckle. Sasha sets Bayley up for the double knee drop again, but this time she props her up on the top rope. Sasha lands the knee drop and goes for a pin, but Bayley kicks out! Sasha can’t believe it.
This sequence is a great example of why this match was so amazing. They teased the diving double knee drop, one counters, the other counters back, then they exceed the crowd’s expectations by doing a top rope version of the knee drop for an even bigger payoff. I love how fiercely Sasha throws her punches too, and the way she kicks her legs when she tries for the pin. Bayley sells it all really well too, crawling away in pain as Sasha sits there shocked that Bayley kicked out. All those little details take an already awesome match to another level.
